Intel Announces Spin-Off of Programmable Solutions Group via Prospective IPO
Global chip manufacturer Intel, member of our M&A focused GINDEX® U.S. Index (GNDX) has unveiled plans to spin off its Programmable Solutions Group (PSG) through an IPO, operating PSG as a standalone unit from January 1 2024, with a listing eyed in the next 2-3 years. This strategic move propelled Intel shares (INTC) to rally 1.9% in premarket trading subsequent to the announcement. Sandra Rivera, presently spearheading Intel's data-center and AI group, is slated to lead PSG. When last reported as a separate entity in 2022, PSG’s revenue experienced a 4% uptick, reaching $1.9 billion. (Source)
