Cirrus Aircraft

Cirrus Aircraft (Ticker: 2507.HK) is a U.S.-based but Chinese-owned company specializing in the production of premium small personal jets and light sport aircraft. The company, headquartered in Minnesota and founded in 1984, was acquired by state-owned China Aviation Industry General Aircraft in 2011. Cirrus Aircraft is notable for implementing the Cirrus Airframe Parachute System (CAPS), a whole-plane ballistic parachute recovery system certified by the FAA in 1998, which remains a unique feature in the aviation industry.

Cirrus Aircraft will list on July 12 in Hong Kong. The firm is selling 54.9 million primary shares, representing 15% of the enlarged share capital, at a price range of HK$27.34 to HK$28.00 each. The total offer size is expected to reach HK$1.54 billion (USD 197 million). There is an offer size adjustment option of up to 8.2 million shares, plus a 15% greenshoe option.

Five cornerstone investors are investing a total of USD 109 million: China Structural Reform Fund (USD 20 million), Taicang High Tech (USD 30 million), Changshu Southeast (USD 30 million), Wuxi Jianfa Xintou (USD 24 million), and Wuxi Jintou (USD 5 million). The deal will price on July 9 and the offering is managed by CICC.

In 2023, Cirrus Aircraft posted a profit of USD 91 million, an increase of 3.5% from the previous year.
